I am at the Annual Seminar given by the Institute of Metaphysical Science being presented by Betty Albee. The Institute does research and gives seminars and teleconferences in the Science of Being. Here are some excerpts and notes from this excellent seminar:
"He who knows others is wise, he who knows himself is enlightened." -- Lao Tzu
There is Being present, constituting each of us, that generates the language that we call our human living. Take a look at who you are and what is going on called the universe we walk through?
Who am I in relation to all that occurs or seems to occur in the world around me?
Working from ideas presented in her book, Mind Is The Athlete: An Exploration of Consciousness & Cause, Betty started out with working to have people understand The Metaphysical Map -- looking at "All In All" (What Is).
What is it that has me exist? I know that I consciously am. You could tell me that I don't -- but I don't buy that -- I know that I am -- nobody has to tell me -- I know that I do. I need no one else to verify that fact.
What is the action of cause? Evidence, manifestation, appearing, change, existing. There is a whole lot more to me than what I see in the mirror. We barely scratch the surface if we only look at the appearance -- the circumstances. From that view, possibilities are almost zero, imagination is almost zero. Is that who you are? who I am? Yes and No -- it's not ALL of who each one of us is.
The appearance world has cause and the action of cause present, or the world wouldn't occur. My life/human existence is a peak of what is going on. If we live as if that is all there is, we are living in a very limited concept of ourselves.
There are no limits -- there are no defining limitations in Allness. There are only opportunities to be. There are unlimited opportunities to be.
Let's call the world of appearance (the seen, heard, felt, taste, and touch), Language. I live myself as if this is all that is going on. I forget the rest that isn't observable so easily. The essence of being is not housed in the Language. My appearance world (language) is a point of view. It's a view of the One reality present -- it's a point of view on Being/Consciousness.
We continuously make an effort to relate to who we are in our own living -- greater than the appearance world. Call them stories, parables, etc., they allow us to access that Awareness, that consciousness that being that has the humanity occur. It's the divine occurring seeing itself in the human point of view.
Don't ever mistake the action in the appearance world for the Awareness/Consciousness. The originating/generating power present is always divine Being. Divine Being in it's self-recognition is always in action. That action shows up as our human living in all of it's permutations. It's always Language, identifying for the moment, the only way that I can see Perfection/Divinity showing up. It's my best view (and you have your best view).
When I acknowledge the facts of Being, it is the source of the action of all that I see -- allows me to let the appearance alone. Another way to say it is, "Being, being itself being, showing up in language." The generative power is never in the point of view. The point of view can never be causative.
What has power is the generative Power that gives rise to the point of view. Cause/Consciousness/"the God-Idea" is that generative force. The belief that cause occurs in language is what gives rise to the language showing up as troubling, sickness, etc. It is a self-destruct mechanism to believe that the language world is causative. The language world is only a view of my being. It's a useful view for me, but if I see it's causative, has the ability to do something, then I'm living a lie, and it will self-destruct.
The Being in action, is the responsible agent that destroys what is not itself. The picture showing up best represents the God-Idea in action. We live with it all the time and we don't distinguish what is actually going on. The causative, knowing, presencing is showing up as the human picture, the world I walk through.
What there is to get is Who you are. The picture/appearance that shows up is only a view. If I think that is the primary thing, then I'm limited to that picture. I have no idea Who I am. Consciousness is self-aware, showing up in language.
An example: When I am coming from the point of view of human being knowing the truth, I'm not willing to have it look/appear any way other than my highest concept of good. If it doesn't look that way, it's not OK.
When I know who I am, standing in the Diving Presence/Being, I will have no energy whatsoever on what shows up in language. It is a point of view. I can appreciate that, not fuss with it and worry over it. It is not a fact of being. I can let it alone and be permissive of the language. While this might be counter-intuitive from the human standpoint, it is the place of power and freedom.
