Yesterday, I got my finger pinched between cement when the slab I was holding cracked in two, and one half folded and fell to the ground, pinching my finger on its way. I got a nasty blood blister and bruise on the pad of my finger. Not to mention the OUCH sensation.
When exploring this, and the application of Scientific Metaphysics to the situation, I heard the comment -- "Oh, so you think you're an object that things can happen to." Wow... yes, I was indeed in the belief that that was so. It made me stop and really think about that.
In her pamphlet, Radical Reliance On Truth, Margaret Laird says, "The statement, 'every material belief hints the existence of spiritual reality' means that every theory or belief, every concept has existence only in the spiritual fact - the God-idea as individual Mind. The idea and its identity are not two. That which identifies the idea is the idea, whatever form it may assume, the consciousness of Good (Mind) is Good, as conscious being."
When I, in mistaken belief, live as though I am merely a human being -- a two-legged animal, I lose the ability to see that I am Consciousness, Mind in action, showing up as my world in the only way I have the eyes to see it. I can align with One in an instant -- dropping my belief in the apparent two, and in that present Now -- I stand in the magnificence of All being - One infinitude of existence.
